  • 2 lbs Halal boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch wide strips Ensure chicken has Halal certification.
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed Use fresh for the best flavor.
Flavor Boosters
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Or 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika Use pure paprika, not smoked.
  • Salt to taste Fine sea salt or Himalayan pink salt recommended.
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: A pinch of dried oregano or thyme For added aroma.
  • Optional: Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the green beans thoroughly and trim off the tough ends.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the green beans for 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender-crisp. Transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Drain well.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chicken strips with olive oil, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the chicken evenly.
Assembly
  1. Take 5-7 blanched green beans and gather them into a small bundle.
  2. Wrap one seasoned chicken strip tightly around the center of the green bean bundle. Secure with a toothpick if needed and repeat until all ingredients are used.
Cooking
  1. For baking, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange bundles on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
  2. For pan-frying, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook bundles for 4-6 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  3. For air frying, preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Cook bundles for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes
